Florida Unemployment Continues To Drop; Ranks 4th In Nation for Jobs Created
Florida's unemployment rate continued to decline, now at 9.4%, a three year low as the state also ranks fourth in the nation for new jobs created according to the state's Department of Economic Opportunity.
Figures for this week's new unemployment filings show new claims continued their decline. At 9.4%, that represents about 850,000 people unemployed, in a state of nearly 20 million residents.
South Florida lead the increase while North Florida was more anemic, but improving.
