Corpus Christi, TX –
United Airlines flight number 4128 made an emergency landing in Corpus Christi (CRP). The flight originated from Harlingen, TX and was to land in Houston (IAH).
Shortly after takeoff in Harlingen, the crew reported an unknown loud noise and diverted the flight to Corpus Christi. Upon landing, the ERJ145 aircraft’s front landing gear suffered damage and a flat tire.
So far no injuries have been reports, and there were 37 people on board. Passengers are being rebooked on a different flight out of Corpus Christi. The plane was able to taxi to the gate on its own.
According to airport reports, Fire Rescue crews were standing by, but were not needed as the airplane landed on runway 31.
The flight was operated by ExpressJet Airlines, a regional carrier for United Airlines.
