Small Plane Crashes In Plantation Key Florida; 2 On-Board Escape Mangroves Uninjured
A small single engine plane crashed into mangroves just shy of the Plantation Key landing strip after the, pilot Brett Ekblom, noticed problems. The plane had taken off from a private airstrip in Tavernier Creek according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
Both Brett Ekblom and passenger Mike Strutton were unharmed and were able to get out of the crash in the mangroves uninjured.
