Tallahassee, Fla. -
Gov. Rick Scott has formed his new task force that will look into Florida's gun laws, including the controversial Stand Your Ground law invoked by George Zimmerman over his Feb 26 shooting of Trayvon Martin.
Scott said, "This task force is going take input form people about public safety. Stand Your Ground is part of it, but thank God we live in a state where crime is at a 40-year low. I want to keep it that way."
The task force is made up of public and private citizens around the state and will review Florida's gun laws and the consequences of it, and hold public hearings.
The new task force will have its first meeting in Tallahassee May 1st.
