Lifetime Announces Movie Based On Book By Jeff Ashton About His Prosecution of Casey Anthony
Los Angeles, CA -
Lifetime television station has announced a deal to make a movie based on the book former prosecutor Jeff Ashton wrote about the Casey Anthony trial. Ashton was one of the main prosecutors in the murder trail in Orlando Florida that ended with Anthony being acquitted in the death of her daughter Caylee Anthony in 2011.
The book will be called "Imperfect Justice: Prosecuting Casey Anthony." Actor Rob Lowe will play the part of Jeff Ashton.
No word on how much Ashton will be making, but Fox is set to do most of the filming. The movie is said to depict the preparations Ashton went through before starting the trial.
Critics have said Ashton has pulled the hypocrisy card because he "railed against someone making a profit off of the death of Caylee Anthony and the trail of Casey Anthony but has himself done just that" says Veronica Lopez, who was one of the few who said Casey Anthony would get off from the beginning.
Casey Anthony will be finishing up her probation for unrelated check fraud convictions this summer and will then be free.
