South Florida Man Arrested For Making False Bomb Threat Against Miami International Airport
46 year old Frank Currier has been arrested after making a false bomb threat against Miami International Airport which cause significant delays and disruptions.
Police say Currier called 911 and reported there was a chemical bomb hidden in a laptop at the airport. Portions of the airport were shut down and travelers were delayed as a result, but no bomb was found.
Police say they then traced the call Currier's home on the 1300 block of SW 7th Street in Fort Lauderdale and that he apparently made the call directly from his home phone line.
Currier has been arrested for making a false bomb threat and making a false 911 call. Police said they believe Currier was intoxicated at the time he made the call.
