Boynton Beach, Fla. -
A man has been arrested for allegedly setting a woman on fire in Boynton Beach according to police. Though not yet identified, he is accused of pouring gasoline on the 40 year old woman and setting her on fire at the 7-Eleven gas station along Hypoluxo Road and Lawrence Road.
When emergency crews arrived they reported she was fully engulfed in flames. Her flames were extinguished and transported to the hospital and is in critical condition.
The man was caught at about 5:30 a.m. and is himself now being treated for burns. In the parking lot nearby police found a gas can, clothes and a fire extinguisher.
Police say he will likely be charged with attempted murder and aggravated assault with intent to kill. However if the woman dies, it would be upgraded to first degree murder.
