Tolls In Orlando Going Up Starting July 1st

The Orlando-Orange County Expressway Authority, OOCEA, has announced it will be raising tolls in order to meet a budget shortfall. The tolls will increase by $.025 cents, 9%, or users starting July 1st and covers all 105 miles in the Central Florida toll road network.

Cash customers will have to pay the full price, while those with EPASS and SUNPASS will continue to see a 10% discount when they use more than 40 tolls in a month.

A few critics have complained shortfalls are due to mismanagement and waste rather than actual operational cost rising.
