Atlas V Rocket Blasts Off Carrying New Spy Satellite For NRO

Cape Canaveral, Fla. -

An Atlas V rocket has lifted off earlier this morning from Cape Canaveral Florida carry a new spy satellite for the National Reconnaissance Office, NRO.

Officials declined to give specifics of the satellite's top secret capabilities or exact mission or even if it reached orbit, though numerous reports from sky-watchers say there was no signs of failure or a rocket break up.

This was the second attempt to launch the satellite, on Monday the launch was scrubbed due to environmental control system problems at the launch pad.
