Tropical Storm Debbie Not Causing Popular Texas-Florida Flight Corridor Disruptions
As tropical storm Debbie churns its way through the Gulf Of Mexico, it has so far not brought any major delays or flight disruptions and deviations.
Orlando International reports there have been no delays or cancellations on flights to Texas that normally flight across the Gulf of Mexico, and Miami is reporting the same. Tampa said it had a few minor delays, but they were due to rain at the airport hampering operations rather than flight delays as a result of the storm.
Houston (IAH), DFW and Houston Hobby also are reporting no delays or cancellations as a result of tropical storm Debbie.
The same can not be said for Gulfport, Mobile and Pensacola which have all experienced delays.
The airlines we contacted asked that passengers monitor the weather and the airline's website for delay or cancellation notices. Most airlines also allow passengers to sign up for free text message alerts that will keep them informed of their flight status.
