Tropical Storm Debbie Turns North, Will Hit Panama City And Florida Panhandle

Tropical Storm Debbie has changed track and is now heading northeast, and is expected to hit Panama City and the Florida Panhandle. Maximum sustained winds are still at 60mph.

Flooding, strong winds gusts, tornadoes and torrential rains continue as far south as Saint Petersburg and Orlando.

Expected landfall is being predicted between Wednesday afternoon and Thursday afternoon, meaning widespread rains across most of the northern half of Florida will continue until at least Tuesday evening.

Some newer forecast models show the storm moving on an even more eastward track, with landfall near Apalachicola National Forest, Crawfordville or Perry, Florida.
