Orlando, Fla. -
In another possible TSA blunder, John Gross of Indian has claimed that while passing through the TSA security checkpoint at the Orlando International Airport, MCO, a female TSA agent used her finger to sift through the ashes and in the process spilled about a third of his remains onto the floor.
Gross was carrying the remains of his grandfather, Mario Mark Marcaletti, in a sealed container marked "Human Remains", and tried to explain to the female TSA agent what it was before she opened the jar and subsequently spilled portions of the remains onto the floor.
"She didn't apologize," Gross tells RTV6. "She started laughing. I was on my hands and knees picking up bone fragments. I couldn't pick up all, everything that was lost. I mean, there was a long line behind me."
TSA policy for screening human remains such as these are for x-ray scanning machines to be used and it has a strict policy against opening containers marked human remains.
Gross has asked for an apology from the TSA, but so far that has not happened as of the time this article was published.
