Universal Orlando To Open New Resort To be Themed Like Nothing In Florida Before

Universal Orlando plans to open a new resort in 2014 at its site near Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. The new resort will be called The Cabana Bay Beach and will be operated by Lowes Hotels, which also runs Portofino Bay and Royal Pacific, both located on Universal's property in Orlando.

According to Universal, the theme will be like nothing else already in Florida and is rumored to be "retro" in style. It will feature 1,800 suites and rooms, 900 of which will be "family" rooms capable of sleeping up to six and has a kitchen.
