Kissimmee Church Pastor Bonds Out Of Jail Over Fraud Charges
Kissimmee, Fla. -
Church pastor Angel Perez-Nieves has made bail and will be released from the Osceola County Jail this morning. Nieves was arrested on fraud charges for allegedly having an alarm system installed at the church using the identity of one of his parishioners without their knowledge or consent.
Nieves is already facing charges of sexual assault on one of the teenage church members and had previously bonded out of jail for that charge.
A Statement issued by Nieves' attorney read:
"Mr. Perez denies all allegations made against him. The fact that law enforcement has now chosen to tarnish Mr. Perez’s reputation in the community by reporting this case in the media, and essentially continuing with their witch hunt, either demonstrates an unusual amount of irresponsible cruelty or a complete lack of respect for our constitutional principles of freedom and liberty."
