The annual tax-free shopping for back to school supplies starts today and ends on Sunday and retailers have geared up and slashed prices to get you to spend.
This year, family's are predicted to spend an average of $668 during the tax-free event that Florida started back in 1999 in an effort to help residents save money on back to school supplies.
The list of what you can buy is pretty large, covering everything from clothing, accessories, shoes, paper, pens, pencils, backpacks, lunchboxes, and much more. The catch, the item must be less than $75, but you can buy as much as you want, there is no limit.
Retailers like Target and Sears are matching online prices and offering free shipping in some cases as well, in addition to the no-tax.
