Researchers have discovered that drinking more than three cups of coffee a day leads to a 66% greater chance of developing exfoliation glaucoma.

The results of the study were published in the journal Investigative Ophthalmology and Visual Science, and the researchers point out that it only affects coffee drinkers and not those who consume other caffeinated beverages such as soda or tea.

Doctors say they do not know why and have not found a direct link but acknowledge the statistical facts do not lie.
