The Verruckt waterslide being built at Kansas City water park will become the world’s tallest at 17 stories, and the fastest at 65mph and riders sit in a raft to take the plunge down a drop that is taller than Niagara Falls or the Statue of Liberty and then up over a 5-story hump and back down again. The slide is being built at Schlitterbahn Kansas City.
Until now, Kilimanjaro at Aguas Quentes Country Club in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil held the world’s record for the tallest waterslide.
If you’re up for climbing the 265 steps needed to reach the summit of Verruckt, there is a raft waiting for you too.
