United Airlines flight 447, an Airbus A320, made an emergency landing in Grand Junction, Colorado while en route from Denver to Los Angeles. According to the Grand Junction Fire Department, six-passenger becomes suddenly ill and overhead oxygen masks deployed while airborne.
One person was hospitalized and five others were treated and released on the tarmac of the airport after the airplane landed safely with 156 people on board.
Passengers seated in rows 22 through 27 were primarily affected according to Shawn Montgomery of the Grand Junction Fire Department. He added that no toxic or dangerous chemicals or gases have been found after examining the airplane.
United is sending a replacement airplane from Los Angeles to pick up the stranded passengers.
