Inglis, Fla.

A man in Inglis shot and killed two people including his estranged wife then critically injured a third before killing himself.

Levy County Sheriff deputies received calls about gunfire around 6:10 pm on Thursday.

When first responders arrived they found the bodies of Walter S. Terhune, 68, and Otis G. Bean on the ground.

Terhune was pronounced dead on the scene. Bean was airlifted to the hospital where is in critical condition.

As deputies arrived on the scene they saw a man appear in a second-floorwindow. A short time after disappearing from sight, deputies heard a single gunshot.

When deputies entered the home they found Patricia Tyson on the first floor dead.

The gunman identified as 57-year-old Walter Tyson was found on the second floor with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The motive for the shooting is not clear but Patricia and Walter had recently separated.

The shooting in North Florida came hours after the mass shooting at a community college in Oregon.
