A Palm Beach County man was arrested after throwing a live alligator through the drive-thru window of a Wendy’s restaurant.
Joshua James, 23, is being charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, petit theft, and unlawful possession of an alligator.
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff, last October James had picked up an alligator off the sides of the road and put it in the back of his vehicle. James was in the drive-thru of the Wendy’s at Royal Palm Beach.
Officials say that after the server handed James his drink, the man reached into the back of his truck picked up the 3-hand-a-half foot long alligator and threw it through the drive-thru window.
The gator was safely captured and released back into the wild.
It is not clear why James was only arrested on Monday.
