Orlando, Fla.

Two Orlando Police Department cruisers were involved in a crash early Monday morning.

The two officers were on their way to assist a traffic stop involving a stolen vehicle. The suspect in that stolen vehicle fled the scene prompting officers to not pursue safety reasons.

For reasons that are unclear, the two responding police cruisers collided with each other on LB McLeod Road near Surfside Way shortly after 1:00 a.m.

One of the officers sustained minor injuries but did not require hospitalization.

Orlando Police have not released the names of the officers involved.
