An Ocala Police officer is off the job and had been arrested on charges of smoking marijuana while on the job.
Jeffery Hall, 26, was arrested on Monday and charged with possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Hall had resigned from the Ocala Police Department the Friday before.
An investigation began when a tip was received to the Ocala Police Department that Hall was going to a trailer on State Road 40 to smoke marijuana while on the job.
Police investigators tracked his cruiser and confirmed that he was going to that trailer. When investigators went searched his cruiser they found marijuana and rolling papers.
Hall has since bonded out of jail.
The State Attorneys Office has said that they were looking into cases that Hall handled to determine if the arrest will impact any of the cases Hall was involved with.
