According to a report by the Boston based Political Research Associates, it says U.S. conservatives have been pushing ideological agendas in other countries by sending politicians in African countries like South Africa money.

The report accuses right-wing conservatives of "fanning the flames of the culture wars over homosexuality and abortion by backing prominent African campaigners and political leaders." It goes on to say the groups is "reshaping national political dynamics and even laws based on an American template."

Ferry With 250 Passengers Capsized Off Zanzibar; American's Believed To Have Been On Board

A ferry called the MV Skagit/Kalama has capsized off the coast of East Africa and Zanzibar, with an estimated 250-300 people on board, some are believed to be America.

According to Police Commissioner Mussa Ali Mussa, 145 have been rescued so far with 31 confirmed dead. According to reports, the seas were rough when it capsized and sank.

Air Force Unmanned Drone Aircraft MQ-9 Reaper Crashes In The Seychelles Off Africa

A U.S. Air Force Unmanned drone aircraft, MQ-9 Reaper, has crashed in the Seychelles off the coast of Africa on the island of Mahe. The incident occurred at the Seychelles International Airport.

The aircraft was under the control of the U.S. Military's African Command and was patrolling as part of the U.S. effort over maritime surveillance, counterterrorism, counter-piracy and bilateral security engagements with partner nations in that part of the world.

World's First Malaria Vaccine Proves Successful in Major Trial

The world's first vaccine against malaria has proven successful in a major trial by pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline. The vaccine, known as RTS,S or Mosquirix, has had significant positive results with five to 17 month old children in Africa, helping them reduce the risk of malaria by 50%.

Nigeria's Arik Air Orders 2 New Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental Airplanes

Nigeria's Arik Air on Thursday placed an order for two Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental airplanes to be used on its key long-haul routes.

The order, valued at $635 million at list prices, was announced at a signing ceremony at the Corporate Council for Africa’s 8th Biennial US-Africa Business Summit in Washington, D.C.

Tanzania Ferry Capsized, at Least 200 Dead Off African Coast in Indian Ocean

**Update: The ferry was the MV Spice Islander and it began sinking at about 1am local time, four hours after it left Zanzibar. In addition to the passengers, it was also carrying motor vehicles, bags of food, cement and other building materials.**

A ferry that was overloaded has capsized killing at least 200 so far, and over 600 have been rescued so far off the coast of Africa in the Indian Ocean near Zanzibar, Tanzania.

Many of those found dead so far have been children.
