2 Swim To Safety After Plane Lands In Water
Overnight an airplane sank in Lake Disston near the Volusia-Flagler county line in central Florida when a plane attempted to land using its water floats when at least one of them did not respond properly and the plane began to sink, according to investigators on the scene of the incident.
Two people managed to swim to safety, the pilot and passenger, Allan and Kathrine Burrows of Port Orange.
Officials say they do not yet know what caused the sinking and they need to recover the plane before they can give more information.
