Workforce Central Florida Administrator Alice Cobb Forced Out By Gov. Rick Scott Over Fraud and Waste Allegations

Orlando, Fla. -

Workforce Central Florida Chief, Alice Cobb, was forced to resign today by Gov. Rick Scott over allegations of fraud and waste. Cobb has been with the agency, tasked with helping unemployed Central Floridians find jobs, since 1996.

"I think no comment is the most appropriate thing right now," she said. "The organization, in my opinion, needs to begin moving forward."

Cobb earned a salary of $135,000 per year. The agency is now headed by Chairman Kevin Shaughnessy and the agency's interim Executive Director Kevin Neal who also pressured Cobb to leave.
