Blackberry Services Out For 3rd Day, Research in Motion Struggles As Problem Spreads Across Globe

Millions of Blackberry users are entering their third day without text or messaging service, and patchy emails service, along with a long line of other intermitted services.

Initially Research In Motion, the owners and developers of Blackberry smartphones, said they had contained the problem and said it was a switching problem on their private network, but then the problem continued to spread beyond North America to the Middle east, Europe, South America and parts of Asia by Wednesday morning.
