Tainted Food Scandal In Europe Grows After Pork Found In 'Halal' Hamburgers In Leicester Schools

The tainted food scandal in Europe is growing after pork was found in 'Halal' meant supplied to Leicester schools, this comes after horsemeat was discovered in Britain, Germany and other counties, and in Ikea's Swedish Meatballs.

Halal is the type of food, specifically how it is prepared or the type of food, that is religiously required for Muslims and is similar to Kosher foods for Jewish people but less strict.

Pork is unacceptable and not Halal/kosher for muslims or Jewish people.

Former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher Has Died Due To A Stroke

The former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher has died at the age of 87 after suffering a stroke. Margaret Hilda Thatcher, Baroness Thatcher served as Britain's PM from 1979 to 1990, and was the longest serving prime minister in British History.

Born October, 13th 1925 in in Grantham, Lincolnshire as Margaret Roberts, she became known as the "Iron Lady" and was known for the conservative movement in the U.K. and worked to modernize industry and break strong labor unions.

Batman Fights Crime And Took A Wanted Man Into Police Custody; NO JOKE

London, U.K.

A man dressed as batman, complete with cape and mask, was recorded by surveillance cameras bringing a wanted man into a local police station in London.

The incident happened earlier today in Britain and officials say they honestly have no clue who the man dressed as batman was.

A spokesperson for the police commissioner said Batman was polite, and turned the man with a warrant over to police custody and disappeared.

Horse Meat Scandal In Europe Growing To Schools

The horse meat scandal in Europe is growing larger by the day. Officials in England have confirmed that a dish served in 47 schools was pulled after tests confirm the presence of horse meat. Over the past week horse meat was found in meals labeled as beef sold in supermarkets in Britain, France, Sweden, Switzerland, Germany, and Ireland.

Additionally official in Ireland last month found both Horse and Pig meat in hamburger products. This being a large concern for Muslims and Jews who’s religion forbids the consumption of pork. Additionally Jewish dietary law forbids the eating of horse.

7 Americans Taken Hostage From BP Natural Gas Plant In Algeria After Attack Killed 2 Others

Seven American have been taken hostage Wednesday morning from a natural gas plant in Algeria that was run by BP during an attack which also killed at least two others. Six are believed to have been injured, including two Algerian policemen.

The incident comes after France attacked an al-Qaida-linked Malian rebels groups, and Algeria supported the action, and the U.S. provided logistical support to the operation.

British PM David Cameron Opposes Mlitary Action In Iran For Now

British Prime Minister David Cameron has said the British government opposed military action in Iran for now saying sanctions are working and need more time.

This news comes after a british newspaper, The Guardian, reported that the U.K. denied a United States' request to use British air bases for a staging ground for possible military action in Iran.

In the report, the denial was based upon a legal position that military action in Iran would be illegal at this time until there is a resolution by NATO or the United Nations to take or approve some form of action.

Ford Is Closing 2 Assembly Plants, Discussing A Third, Displacing Up To 5,000

Ford has announced that it is closing two factories affecting up to 5,000 employees and is in talks to possiby close a third plant.

News of the European closures come as auto sales across Europe are at a 20 year low and the E.U. continues in deep recession.

The Southampton Transit van factory in Britain and a stamping plant in Dagenham are slated to close nexr year ad Ford adjusts to lower demand and lower sales in Europe.

Ford is also in duscussions to close its factory in Genk, Belgium which makes the Mondeo and S-Max models, both cars that target the European market.

Terrorist Suspect Abu Hamza al-Masri To be Extradited To The U.S. After Loosing Court Appeal

Britain's highest court has rejected appeals by Abu Hamza al-Masri and four others, Khaled al-Fawwaz, Babar Ahmad, Adel Abdul Bary and Syed Ahsan.

The five have been held in Britain on terrorism related charges since 2004 and had appealed their case to both Britain's highest court and the European Court, both of which denied his appeals. U.K. officials said they plan to put them on a plane "as quickly as possible".

New SARS Virus Variant Appears In Britain

The WHO, World Health Organization, has issued an alert saying a new variation of the SARS virus has appeared in Britain.

The United Nations health body, which issued a statement through its "global alert and response" system, said tests on the patient, a 49-year-old Qatari man, confirmed the presence of a new, or novel, coronavirus.

The coronavirus is also the same virus that give us the common cold but is mutated into a deadly strain.

U.K. May Strip Diplomatic Status Of Ecuador's Embassy In Order To Arrest Julian Assange

Ecuador has granted Wikileaks founder Julian Assange political asylum according to Ecuadorian Foreign Minister Ricardo Patiño.
Meanwhile British authorities say they will not grant safe passage out of Britain from the Ecuadorian Embassy.
