Mexican Drug Cartel Leader Oscar Arriola Sentenced To 22 Years In Prison At Colorado's Federal Penitentiary

Denver, CO

Mexican drug cartel leader Oscar Arriola has been sentence to 22 years in prison for his convictions on drug trafficking. U.S. District Judge Robert Blackburn said Arriola was a "clear and present danger" to the United States, but gave him a reduced sentence for his cooperation with law enforcement.

Arriola had helped detectives in several other drug enforcement actions, and Judge Blackburn cited this reason to justify a shorter prison sentence than what he Arriola could have received.
