Casey Anthony Attorneys Are In Bankruptcy Court Today
Tampa, Fla. -
Casey Anthony's lawyers will be back in a bankruptcy court in Tampa today hoping to get the two defamation cases against her thrown out, one by meter reader Roy Kronk and the other by Zenaida Gonzalez, an Orlando woman with the same name as the unknown person Anthony used in her murder defense.
Anthony is $800,000 in debt and says she has no way to pay back what she owes and had filed bankruptcy. Under bankruptcy laws, pending lawsuits can also be discharged in a bankruptcy case, but lawyers for Kronk and Gonzalez are fighting to have their cases heard in state court.
