Mexican Computer Hackers Launch Cyber Protests
As Mexico celebrated Independence Day on Sunday, Mexican computer hackers were busy taking over government websites. The Mexican Cyber Protest, as the call themselves, complained about fraudulent elections, corruption and drug related violence and the state of the economy.
At least 10 government websites were attack in addition to a regional newspaper, Los Informantes.
"This is a peaceful cyber protest" read a statement on one of the websites that were hacked.
