Acer's Small Screen Windows 8 Tablet Leaked; uses Full Windows 8 OS

Amazon accidentally leaked images of Acer's new Small Screen Windows 8 tablet on its website after what is being reported as "confusion" over product management and sales.

Following Acer's release announcement of several new Tablets, Amazon posted for sale the Iconia W3-810-1600, except that model was not among those mentioned in Acer's release announcement.

It is a 1.1 pound tablet with an 8.1 inch screen and an x86 processor that will on a full Windows 8 OS, unlike current Windows tablets which run on Windows RT.

Google Announces Its New Chromebook For Everyone At $249

Google has announced that its new Chromebook is now available for pre-order from Amazon, Best Buy and some other retailers.

The new Chromebook is just .8" inches think, and claims to run for hours on a single charge and Google says its "the computer for everyone".

It will come with ARM Cortex-A15 processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of flash storage, but no massive onboard hard drive.

Record Profits For Microsoft, But Less Profit; Company Says Xbox Still The Best Selling Game Console

Microsoft has posted a record profit of $17.41 billion for the first quarter of 2012, but actual profit was down 2.4% to $5.11 billion with game consoles helping to make ends meet. Despite lower than expected Xbox sales, Microsoft says the Xbox is still the number one selling game console for over a year now.

Sales of PC's and its operating system were down to just above break-even and the company cited tremendous demand for tablets and smartphones as the leading cause.

New Tool Released For The Flashback Virus Hitting Apple MacBook Users

A new tool has been released a tool for Mac users to remove the "Flashback" virus that has been attacking MacBook users.

According to Apple, the tool removes the most common variants of the Flashback malware, and once installed, if the virus is found, it will open a dialog box informing the user the malware was removed.

Apple says that in some cases, the Flashback malware removal tool may need to restart your computer and says this update is recommended for all OS X Lion users without Java installed.

HP Wants Meg Whitman Back and Wants to Oust Current CEO Leo Apotheker Amid Horrible Stock Losses
