Wal-Mart Announces It Is Limiting Sales Of Ammunition As Demand Soars And Supply Shrinks

Wal-Mart has announced that it is limiting the amount of ammunition a person can buy to three boxes per day per person in an effort to cope with "extremely high demand".

In the announcement, Wal-Mart spokesperson Ashley Hardie did not give any reasons for the high demand but said supplies are starting to run low and that they are working with suppliers to ensure the availability of supplies.

Wal_mart is the nation's largest retailer and is based in Bentonville, Ark.

JetBlue Delivers Special Card To Funeral of Connecticut Shooting Victim

JetBlue has delivered a card, made by a cousin of 6-year-old Noah Pozner, in time for his funeral. The boy's mother, Victoria, who lived in Washington state could not attend the funeral in time, so her son made a card to be buried with Noah.

After tweeting for suggestions about how to get it there on time, JetBlue responded to her and made arrangements to pick it up and fly it to Connecticut in time so the card could be buried with Noah.

Under Jewish Customs, Noah has to be buried within 24 hours in a wooden coffin, and the coffin had a Star of David on it.

26 Dead In School Shootig In Newtown Connecticut

Early this morning 26 people were killed following a shooting massacre in at the Sandyhook Elementary School in Newtown Conn.

According to police, Adam Lanza killed his mother, who also taught kindergarten at the school, then put on black tactical clothing and a bullet proof vest and drove to the school and killed four more adults and 20 children before taking his own life.

The gunman who killed 28 people including 20 children at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newton Connecticut is dead as well. The school with about 600 students with Connecticut State Police are still on the scene investigating.

The gunman has been identified as 20 year old Adam Lanza. Lanzas mother Nancy Lanza taught at the school.

At 9:35 am this morning Lanza went into the school and shot a reported 100 rounds. Officers were able to escort the remaining students safely out the campus to the safety of anxious parents.

Man Steals Chinese Delivery Car And Continues Making Deliveries

Police have arrested 45-year-old Keith Hinds after they say he stole a local Chinese food delivery car and then went on to make deliveries so he could get the money.

Hinds has been charged in Connecticut with larceny, possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and other drug charges.

Lightening Knocks Out Both Runways, Forces Connecticut Airport To Halt All Flights In Or Out

Bradley International Airport in Connecticut was forced to halt all air traffic after lightening struck near the intersection of its two main runways knocking out landing lights and causing debris to be scattered across the runways.

Around 3:00pm today, a strong line of thunderstorms moved across the area when the incident happened, forcing incoming aircraft into a holding pattern or to divert and stopping all take-offs. A ground stop was in effect for departing aircraft bound for the airport that lasted about two and half hours.

In what is sure to be seen as horrible luck for the common man by Occupy protesters, Greenwich Wealth and Asset managers Tim Davidson, Brandon Lacoff and Greg Skidmore won the Nov. 2 Powerball lottery with a jackpot of $254 million.

In a sign that they perhaps knew how the average American might feel, they reluctantly held the oversize check at the press conference but declined to answer any questions instead having their attorney, Jason Kurland, answer questions.

Nor'easter blasts into New England, At Least 2 Deaths So Far in Conn and Mass

In an unusually early winter storm, two deaths so far are blamed on the Nor'easter moving up the east coast of the United States. The two deaths, one in Connecticut and one is Massachusetts are the start of the what is sure to be a region-wide disruption.

The storm dumped record amounts of snow from New Jersey through New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts.

Newark-Liberty Airport had 3.8 inches by this evening, surpassing the previous high total for an October day of 0.3 inches on Oct. 20, 1952.

Florida State Trooper (FHP) & TSA Agents Arrested Over Drug Smuggling and Conspiracy

Miami, Fla. -

A Florida State Trooper, a Police Officer in Westchester County NY and three TSA agents have been arrested and charged with drug smuggling and conspiracy charges. Federal Prosecutors in Connecticut say the group worked together to smuggle oxycodone pills from Florida to New York and Connecticut and then move the cash back to Florida.

Florida is known as the "pill mill" state, with more oxycodone and other prescription drugs and sold than nearly all other states combined.

President Obama Signs Disaster Declaration for Parts of North Carolina

President Obama today signed a disaster declaration for part of NC clearing the way for federal disaster relief including low interest loans to uninsured home owners and business owners, and cost sharing to local governments for disaster clean up. It includes the counties of Beaufort, Carteret, Craven, Dare, Hyde, Pamlico, and Tyrrell.

More disaster declarations are expected in the coming days as damage becomes more apparent and officials have a chance to survey the areas. Likely new declarations include parts of New Jersey, Connecticut and Vermont.
