Airline Keeps Man On Hold For 15 Hours

We've all seen horror stories of having to be on hold for long periods of time after being told someone will be right with you, or being annoyed by having to call some central call center that barely speaks your language. Maybe you have had a bad experience yourself?

United, US Airways and Continental Airlines Take Top 3 Spots For Most Complaints in First Half of 2011

DOT statistics released for the first half of 2011 show United, US Airways and Continental Airlines, take the top three spots for complaints for major airlines.

While overall complaints are down compared to the same time last year, they've only decreased by 400. Much of that is attributed to Twitter and Facebook, with some airlines staffing customer service groups dedicated to handling such complaints, and some like SkyWest that maintain a Twitter page, but appear to use it only as a way for visitors to bookmark and find the company's main website.
