Recalled Diamond Pet Food Sickens 14 People Due To Salmonella, No pets Affected
So far 14 people in nine states have been sickened by contaminated dog food made by Diamond Pet Foods in its Gaston, S.C. plant. The pet food had been on recall due to contamination by salmonella.
It is the same plant that years ago produced food contaminated by toxic mold that killed dozens of dogs, federal officials said Friday. The CDC and the FDA are investigation Diamond Pet Foods and the plant.
