Recalled Diamond Pet Food Sickens 14 People Due To Salmonella, No pets Affected

So far 14 people in nine states have been sickened by contaminated dog food made by Diamond Pet Foods in its Gaston, S.C. plant. The pet food had been on recall due to contamination by salmonella.

It is the same plant that years ago produced food contaminated by toxic mold that killed dozens of dogs, federal officials said Friday. The CDC and the FDA are investigation Diamond Pet Foods and the plant.

Diamond Dog Food Issues Third Recall Of Dry food Due To Salmonella

Diamond Pet Foods has issued a recall of dog food due to salmonella contamination fears. This makes the third such recall of Diamond over its dry dog foods.

The recall is for its dry dog food sold in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia and covers the following bagged products;
