The Moon Marine USA Corp. of Cupertino, Calif., also known as MMI, is recalling 58,828 pound of yellowfin tuna used by sushi restaurants across the country following an FDA report showing there has been an outbreak of salmonella in 21 states and the District of Columbia.
The potentially contaminated fish is used in sushi and sashimi dishes at sushi restaurants and grocery stores and was sold under the label Nakaochi Scrape AA or AAA, though tracking it down has been difficult due to the number of middlemen and distributors involved.
