Bomb Explosion In Nuevo Laredo Mexico Ahead Of National Elections; Cartels Suspected

A truck bomb has exploded in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico that was parked outside the town hall, injuring seven. So far police are reporting that there have been no fatalities.

Mexico's elections are just two days away in which voters will decide who to replace Felipe Calderon, who has waged a 5-1/2-year battle against drug traffickers and saw cartel violence spike resulting in thousands dead.

167 Bodied Found In Cave In Chiapas Mexico, Possibly Isolated Aztec Group Unrelated to Cartel Drug Wars

Oaxaca, Mexico -

Authorities in Chiapas Mexico have found the bodies of 167 people in a cave in the southern Mexican state. The state prosecutors office released a statement that said the remains were found Friday on the Nuevo Ojo de Agua ranch in an area frequently used by Central American migrants traveling north. The statement said there were no visible signs of violence on the remains, which "break easily."

Forensic officials said they believe the remains are at least 50 years old and have been moved to the Chiapas state capital of Tuxtla Gutierrez.

13 Bodies Found In Abandon Truck In Mexico Near Border Of Veracruz and Tamaulipas

Turf wars between major drug cartels has spread farther to the south of the U.S. border when 13 bodies were found dead in an abandon truck near the border of Veracruz and Tamaulipas in Mexico.

Raising the stakes, three bodies of Americans were recovered from a bus that was shop up they were traveling on Thursday.

Most of the bodies appeared to be victims of the drug wars, those trapped in a do what the cartels ask or die.
