Here's the list of top destinations Americans say they are escaping to if their presidential candidate doesn't win.

Every four years American take a sudden interest in far flung places and some close to home as potential escape sanctuaries if the presidential candidate they want to win doesn't win. We've been following blogs, Twitter, and other forums where new destination hotspots are listed.

Taking the top spot is Canada, presumably "America Lite" but a little colder.

Florida Early Voting Starts Today

Orlando, Fla. -

Early voting has started in Florida as of today, just 10 days before the general election on November 6. Most neighborhood polling stations are not yet open, so if you wish to vote early, you will need to go to the Supervisor of Elections office in your area or county.

If you're wanting to vote but have not registered yet, its too late, you'll have to sit this election out.

So far, none of of the Elections Supervisors have thrown out lists of voters that were named on rolls listed by the state as ineligible due to the controversy and inaccuracy of those lists.

Supreme Court Refuses To Block Republican Attempts To Limit Early Voting In Ohio

Washington, D.C. -

The U.S. Supreme Court has refused to block early voting in Ohio, turning down a republican request as the Presidential Elections approach Nov 6, election day.

A law passed by the republican controlled Ohio legislature limited early voting except for military and overseas residents and an appeals court re-instated the days removed.

Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted, a Republican, appealed that ruling to the Supreme Court but today lost the republican fight.

Now You Can Vote For Santa Claus In November Presidential Election

According to state officials, you can vote for Santa Claus in 15 states on the presidential ballot.

The following sentence appeared in the Capital Gazette over the weekend: “If elected, Claus promises he will be the first chief executive to fasten the presidential seal to the back of a flying reindeer sleigh.”

In addition to Maryland and 13 other states, you can also vote for Mr Claus in Nevada where a man with that name did file the appropriate paperwork with the state on time.

Romney Campaign Under Fire For Using "Panic Switch" Song Illegally At Campaign Event

The Romney campaign has received a cease-and-desist letter from the attorney of the band Silversun Pickups after using one of the band's songs, "Panic Switch", at a recent campaign event in North Carolina without permission of the band.

Apparently the campaigned played the song at an event but never attempted to contact the band or any of its representatives for permission according to reports.

Mitt Romney Picks Paul Ryan As Republican Vice Presidential Candidate

Mitt Romney has chosen Paul Ryan has his running mate for the republican nomination and presumed republican ticket to go up against President Obama in the general election in November.

Ryan is probably best known to most Americans as the man who offered up federal budget plans for the republicans over the last few years that were met with a lot of political controversy and labeled as too harsh and too extreme too fast and not representing the realities of the American people.

President Obama Makes A Stop At Rollins College In Winter Park

President Obama made a campaign stop today at Rollins College in Winter Park where he talked about his vision for the future with a packed house, estimated at 2,400 by the fire inspector.

After arriving at the Harold and Ted Alfond Sports Center and taking the stage just after 2:58pm, Obama briefly praised the U.S. Olympic athletes and joked that he could never stand on such a narrow balance beam and then jump and flip.

Mitt Romney Says He's Got A Better Immigration Reform Plan Than Obama

Mitt Romney made a campaign stop in Lake Buena Vista Florida, next door to Disney World, and accused President Obama of taking Hispanics for granted, saying he "won't settle for a stop gap" measure like the one Obama ordered recently blocking deportation young immigrants.

All 67 County Election Supervisors Resisting Gov Scott's Effort To Purging Voter Rolls

Florida's republican governor, Rick Scott, is facing more resistance as all 67 county election supervisors have come out against purging voter rolls from a list provided to them from the state arguing the list is not reliable. The election supervisors have said they will not purge voter rolls. Backing this up, more than 500 legally eligible voter confirmed as U.S. citizens have been found on this list so far, most are registered democrats.

Senate Republicans Block Workplace Equal Pay Legislation

Washington, D.C. -

Senate republicans have blocked a democratic bill that would have made it easier to find out what pay range their co-workers are receiving and to help reduce the pay difference between women and men in the workplace.

The vote fell short of the 60 needed to allow the legislation to move forward in the senate for full debate and a final vote.

President Obama has said he strongly supports this bill and Mitt Romney's campaign has only said he supports pay equality, but Romney himself has not come out either way on the subject.
