FBI Agent Kills Suspect In Orlando That Was Friend To Boston Bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev

Orlando, Fla. - [updated 5-23-13 @ 12:00pm]

Early Wednesday morning an FBI agent shot and 26-year-old killed Ibrahim Todashev, who was a friend of Boston Bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev.

The incident happened at the Windhover Apartments apartment complex in Orlando at 6022 Peregrine Avenue, which is near Universal Studios.

According to the FBI, agents had been questioning several people in the complex but was more interested in Todashev because he know the Boston bomber Tsarnaev and because he too was planning a trip to Chechnya.

U.S. Soldier Sentenced To 16 years For Espionage

Anchorage, AK -

A military court has sentenced 22-year-old William Millay to 16 year in prison on attempted espionage charged after he was arrested in October of 2011. Millay joined the Army in 2007 and previously served a tour in Iraq.

According to the FBI, Millay is believed to be a white supremacist as evidenced by his tattoos, and conspired to sell classified information to the Russians from the Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson near Anchorage, where he was stationed.

Millay approached several fellow soldiers about his plan, but none reported it to officials.

FBI Releases Pictures of Suspects In Boston Marathon Bombings

Boston, MA

The FBI has released images of 2 suspects they believe are responsible for the Boston Marathon bombings which occurred this past Monday. During the press conference given by Richard Deslauriers (special agent in charge) the said these are the only two pictures that are "official" and asked everyone to disregard any other pictures that have been floating around the internet. FBI Seeks To Question 2 Seen On Video At Boston Marathon Bombing

The FBI has said they are seeking two individuals that were seen on a video at the scene of the recent Boston bombings, but has stopped short of calling the suspects.

Home Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said that the investigation continues and refused to give a description of those they are seeking to question.

So far, 3 have died and 170 were injured during the bombing in which two bombs went off in succession near the finish line of the marathon in which roughly 500,000 attend.

In the aftermath of yesterday's bombing of the annual marathon in Boston in which 3 are dead so far and another 170 injured, some critically, debris litters the area as investigators hunt down clues, even the smallest and least likely ones, in an effort to piece together how the bombing could have happened in what was suppose to be a secure area.

U.S. Army Veteran Arrested Aftering Fighting For Al-Qaeda Linked Terrorist Group

U.S. officials have arrested 30-year old Eric Harroun on charges of conspiring to use a weapon of mass destruction and conspiracy to provide aid to a terrorist group.

The FBI said it arrested Harroun at Washington's Dulles Airport when he returned to the United States after allegedly fighting with Al Nusra, a terrorist organization. He did not have his American passport, claiming that he lost it in the fighting in Syria.

While Al Nusra is just one of many groups fighting against the Bashar al-Assand regime in Syria, the State Department has labeled it a terrorist organization.

Jesse Jackson Jr. Pleads Guilty To Conspiracy In Misuse Of Campaign Funds

Former Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. has pleaded guilty in federal court today saying "I am guilty your honor". Jackson was charged with conspiracy that involved more than $750,000 in misuse of campaign money that he used for personal reasons to buy exotic and expensive items.

The money was allegedly spent on items including $5,000 football signed by U.S. presidents, $9,600 worth of furniture and a $43,000 gold-plated men's Rolex watch plus numerous other expenses, gifts and contributions by Jackson using campaign money.

Indiana Boy Missing For 19 Years Found

The case of a boy who disappeared from Indiana 19 years ago has been solved. Wayne Landers Jr. was just five years old when he was abducted. Indiana state police had been searching these years for the child with no luck.

A detective was given Landers social security card which matched a 24 year old man 100 miles away in Central Minnesota. After months of investigation the police were lead to Landers paternal grandparents who admitted taking the boy after being angry about a custody case. The grandparents took the child and assumed new names raising the boy under these new names.

Two Brothers Face Terrorism Charges In Fort Lauderdale Court Today

Fort Lauderdale, Fla. -

20-year-old Raees Alam Qazi and 30-year-old Sheheryar Alam Qazi, will be in federal court today (Friday) to be arraigned on terrorism charges in Fort Lauderdale. The two have been charged in an indictment with one count of conspiracy to use a weapon of mass destruction and one count of conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists. They are also expected to challenger their detention.

Both were born in Pakistan but became naturalized U.S. Citizens.

Senate Judiciary Committee Approves New Legislation Protecting Internet Privacy

Washington, D.C. -

The Senate Judiciary Committee has approved new legislation that would require police to get a warrant to see your email. It is part of an overhaul of the nations laws governing privacy in the digital age.

The current set of laws, the 1986 Electronic Communications Privacy Act, have been described by many as outdated. Currently police only need a warrant for emails less than six months old. In the new law, police will be required to get a warrant for any of your emails, regardless of how new or old they are.
