200 Pound Black Bear Spotted Near Downtown Orlando

Orlando, Fla. -

The Orlando police are tracking a bear that weighs in at an estimated 200 pounds in the Parramore area and have been waring residents to stay inside.

Florida Fish and Wildlife Conversation officers, FWC - state game wardens - are assisting the OPD.

Police say so far the beaar has not threatened anyone and probably is just as scared as residents, but again cautioned anyone from taking actions on their own to trap or kill the bear. FWC hope to catch the bear and transport it to a safe area for release.

9 Foot Alligator Attacks Man At Winter Haven Golf Course; Gator Sprung Out of Water At Man

Winter Haven, Fla. -

According to Wildlife officers, Al Miller was attacked while golfing at a Winter Haven gold course when a nine foot alligator lunged at him from the water that Miller was nearby.

Miller and his friends said the gator picked him up about three feet them slammed him down and began to drag him back into the water. That's when his friends races to rescue him and was able to free him.

Bear Attacks Women At Camden Club Apartment In Longwood, Get Bit In Her Butt

Longwood, Fla. -

A woman and her dog were attacked by a bear while walking at the Camden Club Apartment's in Longwood this morning. She said the bear first went after her dog and then as she tried to stop the attack she was bitten in the butt by the bear.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission responded to the incident who said they will set traps for the bear.

The woman was taken to Florida Hospital Altamonte and is expected to be ok and make a full recovery.

Longwood is a suburb of Orlando, about 15 miles north of downtown.

Giant Burmese Python Eats Deer in Florida Everglades, Caputred and Killed

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission has captured and killed a Burmese python measuring over 16 feet long that had recently eaten an adult female deer. This capture is the largest ever of a python in the Florida Everglades. The snake is not native to the U.S. and officials are trying to stop the spread of the species northwards.

The deer weighed 76 pounds.
