Turkey Opens Criminal Investigations On IDF Soldiers From 2010 Flotilla To Gaza
Jerusalem, Israel -
Turkey has launched criminal charges against four senior IDF officials related to the 2010 deaths aboard the Turkish ship MV Mavi Marmara in which nine people died, 8 Turkish nationals and one American. This comes after Israeli PM Netanyahu apologized to Turkish PM Tayyip Erdogan on March 22 after prodding by Barack Obama.
Following the apology, Erdogan said his conditions have been met to normalize relations with Israel, which were easing of the Gaza blockade, an apology and compensation to those who died on the ship.
