Denver Airport To Get new Icelandair Trans-Atlantic Flight, First in 10 years

Denver, CO -

Icelandair has announced they will start new service to Denver from Reykjavik in May 2012.

The new flights are expected to bring millions in wages and economic business to Denver, who currently is served on Trans-Atlantic flights now by British Airways to London and Lufthansa Airlines to Frankfurt.

This will become Denver's 3rd International carrier. Denver is the nation's 5th busiest airport yet has few international carriers compared to other airports in the U.S., and is instead dominated by United Airlines with numerous flights to Asia.
