Whooping Cough Making A Comeback, New Cases In Florida

Once thought to be eradicated, whooping cough is making a comeback, up as much as 400% in some states. News cases are being reported in Florida, with an estimated 274 cases this year, 52 in Central Florida.

Properly known as Pertussis, the vaccine for whooping cough was once a widely given immunization until 1980, but then began a sharp drop in use as people forgot about the fatal illness.

States in the Northwest like Washington are seeing thousands of new cases, along with New York, Idaho and Wisconsin.

Death of Infant Drinking Enfamil Causes Walmart To Pull Entire Stock Off All 3,000 U.S. Stores

Walmart has pulled Infamil off all of it's 3,000 U.S. stores following the death of an infant who consumed Infamil Newborn in Missouri. The specific product packaging was the 12.5 ounce with lot number ZP1K7G.

The newborn tested positive for a bacteria known as Cronobacter, which has sometimes been found in infant formulas in the past. It died on Sunday, according to local media reports, after he was taken to the hospital for appearing lethargic and displaying what his family said were signs of a stomach ache.
