Apple CEO Tim Cook introduced a new tablet Tuesday to the Apple family, the iPad air. The newest version of the popular tablet is the lightest yet at 1 pound, the previous generation was 1.4 pounds . In addition to being 20% thinner than the previous version, the iPad air will include upgraded processors, 5 megapixel camera, 1080 HD video, and a 9.7 inch retina display.
The iPad air will go on sale for $499 for the 16 GB wi-fi model. Additionally the iPad 2 will continue to be in production with its cost going down to $399 for a 16 GB wi-fi only.
