Apple Ordered To Trial In Location Tracking Lawsuit

A Federal Court in California has ordered that Apple must go to trial in a location tracking lawsuit after two researchers discovered that Apple had been secretly tracking users location and movements without their consent, even with GPS turned off and claimed that that violated the user agreements.

Apple had sought to have the case dismissed arguing it did nothing wrong and that this was covered in the terms of use, and that they never shared any information to third party companies. The case involved iPhones, iPads and iPods.

Apple's new iPhone 4S Voice Control, Named Siri, Causes Security Problem for New iPhones

A new security problem has been found with the newly released iPhone 4S. Users who use the Siri feature of the phone allowing them to access and control parts of the phones services by voice are also allowing someone to bypass the passcode the user has set to keep their phone private.

Security analysts have tested the iPhone 4S and found that despite having a passcode set, if you use the Siri feature, someone can still access your email, text, calendar and other portions of the phone.
