Airlines Are Cancelling Flights Ahead Of Winter Storm Approaching The Northeast
As a strong winter storm approaches the northeast, airlines have already cancelled 370 flights by Friday afternoon in anticipation of the storm, which is expected to bring blizzard conditions to some, and heavy winter snow up to 2 feet beginning Friday night.
Most airlines have begun instituting weather waivers, allowing travelers to change their dates of travel to avoid becoming stranded by the weather and cancelled flights. There are no fees associated with weather waivers to change a ticket.
So Far, United has cancelled the most, followed by Delta, America and others.
