Miami-Dade Prosecutor Arrested For Fleeing Scene Of An Accident

Miami, Fla. -

Police have arrested 29-year-old Caycie Blake Flitman, a Miami-Dade prosecutor, for fleeing the scene of an accident after she allegedly sideswiped a car on S. Dixie Highway while doing an improper lane change.

The man that Flitman hit was an elderly man who followed her until she pulled into a parking lot where she apparently got out and started yelling at the man and swearing before leaving.

The victim was able to right down her license plate number.

Flitman has since been released from jail on bond.

Miami man accused of making threats against President Obama

A Miami man is being investigated by the Secret Service for making a threat against President Obama during a recent South Florida visit. 20 year old Joaquin Serrapio was arrested and has since bonded out of jail. The nature of the threat has not been released but police did come to his residence when the President arrived last Thursday for a visit to the University of Miami.

Forbes announced its top 20 most miserable cities list and Miami tops them all at number one. The list is based on unemployment, inflation, foreclosures, crime statistics and tax percentages. Non quantifiable things such as weather, average commute times, and quality of local sports teams are factors a well. One of the big reasons Miami was named one is its still falling home prices.

Abused boy looks like a concentration camp victim said a Miami judge on Monday. The nine year old was found naked wondering the streets abused and starved Saturday. The child’s parents Marsee Strong and Edward Bailey remain in Miami-Dade County Jail on charges of aggravated child abuse and neglect. The abused boy and his four siblings were placed into the care of their maternal uncle Joseph Lee who is under court orders to not allow contact between the children and their parents.

Controversy After Miami-Dade Police Officer Fernando Villa Found Drunk in Patrol Car In Intersection in Kendall

Internal Affairs investigators are trying to find out why Miami-Dade police officer Fernando Villa was not arrested and booked into jail after he was found passed out in his patrol car in the middle of an intersection in Kendall.

Miami-Dade Police Director, Jim Loftus, gave specific orders to arrest him and treat him like any other person found in the same situation, but instead police at the scene had him sign a promise to appear in court and let him go home; the order apparently never reached the officers on the scene.
