iPhone's Passbook Scores Big, 12% of MLB Tickets Sold And Used Via Passbook
Passbook has scored a big hit with Major League Baseball as 12% of all single game tickets over a two week period were sold and used via the iPhone 5's new feature.
The MLB was testing fan reaction to Passbook by introducing it to the final two weeks of regular season baseball.
According to Mashable, Matthew Gould, vice president of communication for MLB Advance Media said "We were really pleased, obviously surprised given those parameters."
E-Tickets have been a growing segment of retail and event sales, account for as much as 40% at some events.
