FOX & CNN incorrectly Said Supreme Court Struck Down Healthcare Law

In the rush of the news business to be the first to report news, both FOX and CNN announced that the Supreme Court ruled against the Obama administration in the Healthcare law challenge.

Both networks announced their own version of the news on air and with a ticker along the bottom and even tweeted it before realizing they were wrong.

Supreme Court Upholds Obama's Healthcare Law In Surprise Swing Vote By Chief Justice Roberts

In a ruling that is sure to continue debates across the country, the U.S. Supreme Court has upheld Obama's healthcare law, with Chief Justice John Roberts providing the surprise swing vote in a 5-4 decision. The courts four liberal justices were joined by Roberts in upholding the heart of the law, allowing the government to impose a fine on those who do not purchase health insurance.

Protestors and supports of the law being decided by the Supreme Court were out in force in front of the Supreme Court chanting back and forth what they believe is right.

G8 Summit Begins At Camp David With Obama Welcoming World's Most Powerful Leaders

President Obama is welcoming leaders of the world's most powerful countries to Camp David as the start of the G8 Summit begins. G8, or Group of Eight, consists of the U.S., Great Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Canada and Russia.

In choosing Camp David, Obama said he wanted his guests to feel at ease and comfortable in order to hold "direct and frank" talks in an effort to get top issues solved.

Obama Modifies Insurance Rule For Religious Groups, Says They Don't Have To Offer Free Contraceptive Coverage

President Obama has made what he describes as an "accommodation" for religious groups after fierce opposition to part of his signature healthcare reform law. Part of the law required employer insurance plans to cover contraceptive coverage to women for free, and despite the fact that nearly 80% adult women use some form on contraception, religious organizations such as Catholic schools and Bishops balked at the mandate.

President Obama To Give Speech At Disney World's Magic Kingdom in Orlando Today About Tourist Visas

President Obama will arrive in Orlando today to give a speech about changing the visa process for foreign tourist to make it easier to come to Florida. He is due to land at Orlando International around 11:30am and will give his speech at Disney's Magic Kingdom at noon and will then return to the airport to board Air Force One and depart.

The announcement of the visa process is welcomed news by many businesses in the Central Florida region who depend on tourism, along with businesses that serve the hospitality industry.

First Lady Michelle Obama Booed at NASCAR's Ford 400, Jill Biden Also Attended

First lady Michelle Obama was booed while she and Jill Biden, wife of Vice-President Joe Biden, were attending the Ford 400 NASCAR race in Homestead, Florida on Sunday.

They served as Grand Marshals and were greeted by a mixed group of spectators with a few cheers and some very obvious and loud boos.

U.S. Supreme Court To Decide Healthcare Law Signed by Obama

The U.S. Supreme Court has decided to take the new health care law that President Obama touted as the solution, after several federal appeals courts have ruled for and against the law and various provisions within it.

The court said it would hear the case in March and a final decision could come as early as June, before the 2012 general election.

Republicans have called the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act unconstitutional since before Obama signed it into law in March 2010.

Obama Proposes Tax Hike On Millionaires To Reduce Federal Debt

President Obama has proposed new tax rules on millionaires that would close many loopholes allowing them to pay little or no federal taxes.

Dubbed the "Buffet Rule" after billionaire Warren Buffet wrote in an article in the New York Times that it is time Congress stop coddling the super rich, and that is was entirely unfair that his secretary pays more taxes that he does.

Republicans are set to push back, calling the super rich "job creators" and that taking money from them will stunt job growth in these harsh economic times.
