Twitter Gives Court 3 Months of Occupy Wall Street Tweets Related To Brooklyn Bridge Protest
Twitter caved in and has given a New York court three months of tweets made by Malcolm Harris related to the Brooklyn Bridge protests organized by Occupy Wall Street in an effort to avoid steep fines and other penalties.
Judge Matthew Sciarrino Jr.'s ordered Twitter to give the court the records to which Twitter declined arguing they do not own the tweets and it is private information owned by the person tweeting. Sciarrino dismissed that claim and ordered the tweets be handed over or that Twitter would be held in contempt and face steep penalties.
