Palm Bay Police Looking For Armed Suspect

UPDATED: Police have arrested John Kitchen and charged him with aggravated assault with a firearm. Police had been searching for him for nearly 8 hours.

Police in Palm Bay say they are looking for a suspect that pulled on a gun on an officer while attempting to do a routine traffic stop.

The incident happened near the intersection of San Filippo Drive and Wyoming Drive, when officers tried to pull the man over. That's when they say he pointed or waived a gun at the officer and then took off.

Palm Bay Convenience Store Armed Robbery Ends With Clerk Being Dragged Outside

Palm Bay, Fla. -

Police in Palm bay are looking for a suspect they say committed armed robbery at a Circle K convenience store on Emerson Drive overnight at about 1:30am.

In the surveillance video, the suspect is seen using a silver colored pistol holding it to the head of the store clerk. The clerk later tried to escape to her vehicle but the suspect stopped her and attempted to drag her behind the store before he eventually fled the scene.

Man Pulls Gun On Another Customer At Publix Supermarket

Palm Bay, Fla. -

Police in Palm Bay have arrested 31-year-old Derek Dimsey after he had an argument with 50-year-old Kenny Mercado Sr. who was another customer at the Publix on Bayside Lakes Boulevard store.

The incident started when the men, who don't know each other, accidentally bumped into each other inside the Publix. Mercado apparently lashed out and hit Dimsey who in turn pulled his gun on Mercado.

The incident ended without any injuries after Publix employees were able to separate the two men.

Elderly 78 Year Old Woman Attacked And Robbed Outside CVS In Palm Bay

Palm Bay, Fla. -

According to police and witnesses, a 78-year-old woman was attached and robbed outside of a CVS store at 1101 Malabar Road around and her purse was stolen.

The suspect is described as a short Hispanic male who was driving a black car along with three other occupants, one of which was a white female.

The car speed off down Malabar Road and has not been seens since.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS.

Police Looking For 2 Armed Gunman In Palm Bay After Shooting

Palm Bay, Fla. -

Police in Palm Bay are looking for two men they say are armed after responding to a scene where another man had been shot in the elbow after being tied up on Welland Street this moring around 7:50 am.

Officials issued a reverse 911 call to residents in the area alerting them to the danger.

Police say they received witness statements that said the two men were carrying a handgun and a sawed off shotgun.

Police were also searching in the area of a canal along Sandusky Street.

Man Claiming To Be Jesus Christ Arrested After Threatening Neighbor Who He Thinks Is The Anti-Christ

Palm Bay, Fla. -

Police in Palm Bay have arrested 51-year-old Kenneth David Peterson after claiming he was Jesus Christ and attacked his neighbor for being the Anti-Christ. The incident happened in the 1500 block of Charles Boulevard.

According to police, Peterson used a crow bar and confronted his neighbor and began threatening him when police received the call.

Peterson is being held in the Brevard County Jail on a $150,000 bond and is being charged with aggravated stalking and aggravated assault.

Man Tries To Rob 7-11 With BB Gun So He Can Pay His Car Insurance

Palm Bay, Fla. -

Police in Palm Bay have arrested James Seehaus for using a BB gun to rob a 7-11 store. Seehaus got $45 bucks after putting a cloth over his BB gun to make it look like a real shotgun. When police asked why he did he, he said he needed the money to pay for his car insurance. (He has GEICO Insurance reportedly.)

He has been booked into the Brevard County Jail for armed robbery, though that will likely be reduced in a plea deal.

Brush Fire In Palm Bay Ignites Propane Tank And House Fire

Palm Bay, Fla. -

Firefighters are investigating how a brush fire was started that eventually ignited a propane tank and a house fire near West Oaks Park on Lamplighter Drive in Palm Bay.

The house suffered major damage with the fire spreading into other parts of the house and attic, however there were no injuries reported.

Accident On I-95 Near Palm Bay Kills 2, Semi Truck Slammed Into Small Car

Palm Bay, Fla. -

Two men are dead after an accident involving two cars was hit by a semi truck near mile marker 168 on I-95 in Palm Bay.

FHP are reporting that two cars were traveling south on I-95 when one rear ended the other causing both to spin out of control. Shortly after that, a semi-truck hit the Jetta and both went off the road into nearby woods.

Joachim Turtulien, who was driving the car that was rear-ended, survived the incident, but the 22 year old driver and passenger of the Volkswagon Jetta did not survive.

FHP has not released the names of the deceased yet.
